This was a small detour that we allowed ourselves in our cross-country trip (see the Streetside Stories project).  Because the schools were closed over the holidays, it was decided that we would head home and then regroup at the end of January to pick up where we had left off.

We drove from Rosedale, MS, down to the Big Easy, found a cheap hotel, and went out to listen to some jazz.
