For reasons I don't fully understand, there is always a drop-off in my productivity in the first months of the year.  It probably has something to do with the weather, not wanting to get my gear wet, although this year has been particularly, ominously, dry.  It might also have to do with general winter fatigue, exacerbated this year by a New Year's bout of flu.

In March, I took a quick break in Tours, a city I had never visited before, and in May I flew to the US for work and personal reasons.  There, I visited NYC; my home town of Goshen, NY; Toronto to meet up with my brother Pete whom I had not seen in several years; Boston and Cambridge (where I was too busy to do much shooting); an overnight stop to see cousin and fellow photographer Bill Clements, whom I had not seen in an even longer time; and finally back to NYC to catch my flight back home to France.
